We were all very surprised to get a text at 6:00 AM yesterday announcing a baby. I had no idea Jennie had even gone into labor. Very understandable after I heard the story. Jennie woke up around 2 am to use the bathroom. While she was up she started having some contractions. She did a few laps around the house and even did some stairs. At 3 am she woke Pete up saying she thought she was in labor. They called my mom who came right over and they headed to the hospital. They arrived at the hospital at 4 AM with Jennie saying ... "this baby is coming!" Not checked in, no IV, NO DOCTOR, no hospital gown, no stirrups .... 18 minutes after they arrived at the hospital Anchor was born! Thank goodness for good nurses! Two hours start to finish! What a lucky girl Jennie is. Both baby and Jennie are doing great! He is a little chunk with very kissable cheeks. We are smitten already!

Congratulations to me! I received my first teacher award today. I was given the "Extra Miler" award. The PTA and principals select a couple teachers a year to receive this. I knew being on every committee and never saying no to anything would play off! I get a certificate and my picture up on the front hall. Awesome! ;)

Prom 2008
Last night I chaperoned prom. It was actually pretty fun. I love to see my students all dressed up acting so grown up. Our prom this year was at 7 Peaks Ice Rink. No there was no ice, unfortunately! A pretty random place for prom but they did a great job decorating it. I even got asked to dance. Don't worry I politely declined.
