Handy Man?

I have decided not to sell my house. I have been toying with the idea for the past year. But have decided that I would hold off for a while. SO ... I want to do some home improvements. I want shelves in my garage, moldings around my windows, I want to turn my 3rd bedroom into a guest/office room and I REALLY want a soft water system!!! (who would have ever thought THAT would be on top of my list?) For the first two things on my list I need to hire someone ... a handy man! I need a handy man! Where does one get one of those? How much does a handy man cost? I am totally clueless on how this all works. Advise anyone?

i would definitely only go by recommendation, you never know what you're gonna get with those kinds of things. i would talk to nate keller, he should know all about that kind of stuff, seeing as how he fixes houses up for a living!

Sari- my brother in P.G. would probably do it for you- he use to have a business called "Fireman Handyman" which he sold I think, but he is pretty good at most anything. He is a paramedic, but also helps my dad with his general contracting. good luck -email me if you want some contacts. I always call my dad about all that kind of stuff.

You don't need a handyman, you need a perfect boyfriend. I had a heavy duty errand/home improvement day myself today and I kept thinking to myself (and once or twice out loud) that it's about time for one!

Don't know much about the handy man..frankly I could use one too! But, I got connected to Erika Wallins blog. So, you should check it out. It's on my link list. She is married with twin girls. Her husband is in Iraq doing medical stuff! Crazy! I thought you might be interested in checking it out! Love ya Sar!

I'm just proud the list of your "blogging friends" keeps growing! With a list like that you should be able to find the perfect handy man, perfect boyfriend, AND a man with lots of cash! I need to ignore people's "friends" list cuz I have to laugh.....ah I'm just an anti-social NERD!!!

No suggestions there - my husband is worthless when it comes to fixing things so I would love a name when you get one! Good luck hunting for that handyman - make sure he is single and maybe the handyman will turn into a boyfriend????

I think I heard Bry say he would help you with some things... but keep in mind, Sari, he is married to your friend Jenny.

Sorry we can't offer Pete for much. He is getting better with the handy-man stuff though. For instance, over the weekend he took apart two toilets, a bathroom fan, and then put together a can organizer for me. (when I say he took them apart, note that they aren't put back together yet. He has to buy some parts. But hopefully it will be soon!)

I didn't know that you dated my cousin Ryan. He is a good guy, hopefully he was a good boyfriend. Tell me about this Alcatraz Swim that you do. How long do you train for it. When is it. How long is the distance? I think I want to do it. Get me some info please! As for a handy man or woman, I have no idea's. I'll ask around though!
