A student (a boy) just said to me, "Miss Christensen, are you feeling under the weather today?"
I said, "No, why?"
he said, "oh you just look like you had a hard time getting up this morning."
What? Nice!
So I admit that I did hit snooze a couple of times and that I didn't take a shower. My hair is pulled back and I am not wearing much make up. But still!

Oh the honesty! Maybe you could use that as a teaching moment and instruct him that when he is married someday that probably isn't the best thing to say to his wife! Funny! Are you liking being back in the swing of things? I hope you are feeling well. :)

Kids are dang funny! He probably thought oh, I'll be all Mr. Sensitive student and get on her good side by noticing that she's under the weather and then she'll say, "oh, that is so thoughtful of you student x" and then she'll give me 100% on all my art projects. He's got a lot to learn in the way of suaveness :) It's kind of like that, "Oh, hey when are you due?!... oh, you're not pregnant... oh, what's that over there? a pretty butterfly..." love ya Sari! :) Can't wait to see ya next month!
